Abstract
The majority's solution to protecting the admittedly enhanced right to a trial within a reasonable time of youth could succeed, and it is formally consistent with the Jordan approach in the sense that it adopts a procedure already set out in that framework. It is not clear, however, that it is consistent with Jordan at a policy level.
