Interprofessionalism and Collaborative Self-Regulation in the Health Professions: Two Variations on an Emerging Canadian Theme

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

    Abstract

This chapter is about Canadian initiatives to improve health professions regulation through application of interprofessional collaboration to regulatory work. Since health professions regulation (and the delivery of health care generally) are provincial matters, it is primarily about initiatives taking place at the provincial level, specifically in Ontario (the largest province) and Nova Scotia (one of the smallest). But the chapter is also about the broader national process of health care reform and governance that informs these initiatives and that might support them in the future.
