The book draws the reader’s attention to the complexity of socio-economic, political, and legal impediments in the path of effective realization of regional economic development and integration in Africa while effectively juxtaposing the roles of national, regional, and international actors in the integration process. Oppong goes beyond simply describing the political and economic landscape of economic integration in Africa by focusing on the legal aspects and developing a ‘relational framework as the medium of analysis’.
