'Arctic' in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction

With no ministerial meeting of the Arctic Council scheduled for the year, regional activities relevant to Arctic environmental protection occurred primarily within the Arctic Council's six working groups and meetings of senior arctic officials (SAOs) (documentation from the working groups and SAO meetings may be found at the council's website). Regional cooperation was further enhanced by the implementation of the Northern Dimension Policy Framework document and the convening of the eleventh session of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council.
