About
Professor Rollie Thompson, KC, is a distinguished scholar and Professor Emeritus at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University. A leading authority in family law, his expertise spans child and spousal support, evidence, civil procedure, relocation, and child protection law. He has made significant contributions to legal scholarship and practice in these areas.
Professor Thompson taught for nearly four decades at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law, as well as at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and the Osgoode Hall LLM program. He has delivered lectures and presentations across Canada to legal professionals, judges, legislators, and mental health professionals.
Professor Thompson's research interests include Family Law, Child Protection, Evidence, Civil Procedure, Access to Justice, Legal Aid and Poverty Law. A dedicated advocate for legal education, he remains an active voice in academic and professional circles, continuing to engage with audiences nationwide.
