About

Leanna's research connects social welfare and financial laws. As a doctoral candidate at McGill University Faculty of Law, her thesis analyzes the rise of finance in the welfare state. She also served as inaugural director of the Transnational Justice Clinic at McGill. Prior to her graduate work, she litigated antitrust and securities cases in New York and clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada and Court of Appeal for British Columbia. Leanna earned her LL.M. from Harvard Law School, J.D. from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law, and a B.A.Sc. from McMaster University's Arts and Science Program.
