The course offers a general introduction to global and national energy issues, including energy security, energy demand and supply, the range of energy sources available, and the social, economic and environmental consequences of the choices. Following this broad introduction, the course focuses on the production, distribution, sale and consumption of electricity. It considers a range of law and policy issues dealing with electricity, including the regulatory process, implications for environmental law, and trade law issues.Environmental Law Specialization: LAWS 2213/2214: Energy Law is an elective course for the Environmental Law specialization.
